Please find a small sample of my work below–I’ve done everything from newsletters to blog posts to websites.
Copywriting

I write the University of Northwestern – St. Paul School of Business’s biannual newsletter. For each newsletter, I interview students, faculty, and alumni; research the assigned topics; and compile this information into three to four articles before the polished product is sent to over two thousand alumni.
Content Writing

I freelanced with Collegis Education to write blog content on behalf of Rasmussen University on a variety of subjects, including business, nursing, design, and education. For each article, I researched the topic and explained it in an informative and understandable way to match Rasmussen’s brand voice. Every blog post was structured around search engine keywords, which I incorporated into the content along with other SEO practices.
Several of the articles I wrote now rank on the first page of Google. Here are two examples:
Editing

Every year, the international organization Open Doors publishes their World Watch List. This booklet reports on the top fifty countries where Christians experience persecution and includes stories from around the world. It receives major international media attention and publicity.
For the U.S. branch of Open Doors, I copyedited the 2025 World Watch List for grammar, alignment with the organization’s style requirements, and adaptation to American English standards from British English.
Content Management and Support

Northwestern Media operates radio stations that broadcast on 105 outlets and through 13 states. When they needed some additional website support, I came onboard to assist with content management and website updates. This included copywriting and copyediting within the brand style guide as well as routine content posting across fifteen websites.
Additionally, I provided SEO and WordPress advisement to proactively improve the websites, troubleshoot existing problems, and standardize the websites across the brand.
Websites

Psalm 150 Ministries is a music ministry non-profit. I created their website, wrote most of the website copy, and have provided support for the site. This project incorporated website design on the WordPress platform, custom CSS, copywriting, copy editing, and graphic design.

Kirsten Slyter’s website serves as a central hub for her writing portfolio. This portfolio site is built on WordPress and includes over 100 lines of custom CSS. I created custom graphics for the website, including the stylized name logo and the site footer logo.
Website Redesigns

Elevat is a small business selling fair trade accessories and clothing. For this project, I redesigned their website using the SquareSpace platform. I ensured proper page layout, fixed problems that arose when converting templates, and selected photos for the new website. Throughout this process, I ensured the new site fit with Elevat’s branding–everything from color scheme to writing. And along the way, I reviewed Elevat’s existing website copy for grammar and style.

With this project, the Twin Cities Praise Symphony wanted to update their existing website to match the design of their parent organization’s other sites.
Working within the Weebly website builder, I focused on creating a modern, clean design as I incorporated the existing content on the site and transferred their website to a new theme. This project also included custom CSS.
